Source: A 67-year-old bicyclist died Tuesday, one day after he was was hit by a car on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near the entrance to Interstate 75. Albert Sims Dyson of Lutz was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital at 12:30 p.m. Monday with life-threatening injuries, according to Tampa police. A preliminary investigation found that Dyson entered the road in the middle of a block. The driver told police she pressed her brakes but wasn't able to stop in time. No charges have been filed in the incident.
