Source: A 12-year-old girl has died after she was struck by a sport utility vehicle as she walked her bicycle across a highway in Chanhassen. Carver County sheriff's officials say Amy Marie Trudeau was walking her bike east across the intersection of Minnesota Highway 101 and Sandy Hook Road when she was struck by a southbound SUV around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The girl was wearing a bicycle helmet. The sheriff's office says she was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition and was pronounced dead around 10:30 p.m. The accident remains under investigation.
