Source: A 12-year-old Kettering boy has died after being struck by a Hummer Tuesday evening while riding his bicycle. Andy Li was run over as a driver left a Taco Bell parking lot near the intersection of South Smithville Road near Watervliet Avenue around 5 p.m. Li was a sixth grade student at Kettering Middle School and attended Greenmont Elementary. Officials said counselors will be in the schools today to assist students and staff. Police told 2 NEWS that after the accident, the driver involved was distraught to the point where officers activated the Police and Clergy Together program, calling a minister to the scene. This was the first time police have activated PACT since it began. The accident remains under investigation.

I grew up with Andy and I used to walk to school with him in Elementary School! When I found out about his death I just started paniking and didn’t know how to feel at first but then I knew that he was in a good place now and just tried to remember the good things about him and it made me remember the nice, smart,and funny Andy and that’s some advice for people who knew him and i’m not sure my advice will work for everyone but just try it and know that he’s still here with us he’s in our hearts,and just contine being as if he were here with us today because I know that thats probably wanted for you,me,and all of us :( and I know it’s hard because i’ve never experiensed someone close to me die nope no one and it was hard for me and it still is and I bet it’s that way for other people too. But if you belive that he’s in a good place now you’ll be fine!!! Because he is !!! Amen

The Belmont Community is holding a candle vigil Mon Oct 22 at 7:00 pm at the Taco Bell area where Andy Li was hit.
Andy li was about to cross an intersection but the women in the hummer(dayton elementary school teacher) crashed him after he was about to cross the intersection.
:”( i was and am really sorry for andy li’s death and i was his friend so the day that they announced at my school in kettering middle school that and died in a car accident i was schocked andy li was my best friend he was a friend a real live nice friend once i told him if he can help me with something he always told me yes and the worst part was when i heard that he died and andi was in my bus lived near me andwas a special friend to me but hard time comes to us and the friend that you have will past away i have experienced these death of my other friends too and for all the kids in the world i wish them a best life.education.and the rest of their life do my ending will be GOD BLESS YOU ANDI LI I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT A NICE AND HELPFUL FRIEND you were AND TO ANDI’S PARENTS I AM SORRY THAT YOUR 12 YEAR OLD ANDI DIED THIS IS THE SADDEST MEMORY FOR ALL OF US GOD BLESS YOU ANDI AND GOD BLESS YOU ANDI’S PARENTS AND TO ALL OF ANDI’S FAMILIES GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU AND I HOPE THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATHS TO ANY CHILD OR TEENS EVER AGAIN.
