Source: City police were searching for a motorist who fled after hitting a bicyclist just after 7 p.m. Saturday. The unnamed bicyclist, according to emergency dispatchers, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital following the accident in the 2200 block of Perrysville Avenue in Perry North. Police said no arrests had been made Saturday evening, and more information wasn’t available. The extent of the cyclist’s injuries were not available. Saturday’s hit-and-run was the latest in a spate of bicycle accidents in the region, two of them fatal in the city. Anthony Green, 47, of Wilkinsburg, died Wednesday after he was struck the previous day on Penn Avenue in the East End. On July 25, James Price, 46, of Homewood, died when he was hit and killed by a driver on Penn Avenue who then fled.
