Monday night an 18-year-old bicyclist was struck by a tow truck and killed in Hillsborough County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Troopers said the truck, operated by Stepp's Towing of Tampa, was turning east from U.S. 41 onto Fletcher Avenue with a green arrow just before 7 p.m. when three bicyclists were crossing Fletcher north in the crosswalk. The driver, Timothy Wittmeyer, failed to see the bicyclists and crashed into Cavoune Radcliffe, who died at the scene. Wittmeyer, 28, of Tampa sustained minor injuries.
