Source: Around midnight Nov. 3, a cyclist was hit from behind near the intersection of East Riverside Drive and Yellow Jacket Lane. The cyclist, Cody Johnson, was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge in critical condition, but later died. Friends of Johnson said he was well known in the Austin cyclist community and even worked at a local bike shop. They also said that over the weekend family chose to take Johnson off of life support.
