Source: A Denver cyclist was killed after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver who fled with the damaged bicycle. Denver police say 31-year-old Dan Peterson was out riding early Sunday when he was hit near Speer Boulevard and Lincoln Street. The bike Peterson was riding was dragged away from the scene by someone driving a green or dark colored Subaru hatchback after the accident. The bicycle has not been recovered. Updated Source: Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest in a hit-and-run collision Sunday that killed a bicyclist. Daniel Peterson, 31, was riding a bicycle at Speer Boulevard and Lincoln Street in Denver at about 2:20 a.m. when he was struck by a dark colored or green Subaru hatchback. He died from his injuries at about 9 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle was recovered in Aurora on Monday, Denver police said Wednesday, but no arrest has been made. The Raleigh-brand bicycle was dragged away by the vehicle and has not been found, police said in a Crime Stoppers alert Wednesday.
