Source: A 39-year-old Apopka woman was arrested today in connection to a hit and run crash that left a bicyclist dead almost a week ago. Apopka police said bicyclist Donald Marion was headed east across Park Avenue at about 9 p.m. Saturday when he was first stuck by a silver Toyota Yaris. The collision knocked him from his bicycle and into the roadway. Police say Marion was then run over by 2003 Nissan Infiniti SUV driven by 39-year-old Litasha Stokes. At the time of the crash, witnesses told investigators the Stokes stopped briefly but never got out of the SUV before she fled the scene. Investigators found two car parts at the scene bearing the Nissan logo and part number that eventually led them to Stokes' home on Sheila Drive in Apopka. Marion died on scene and Stokes now faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving a death and tampering with or destroying evidence.
