Source: A 51-year-old woman died over the weekend after crashing her bicycle on a Fremont street, police said. Feng Ying Yu, of Fremont, died after being hospitalized with major head injuries sustained during the Friday morning incident, said police Spokeswoman Geneva Bosques. Yu was riding a bike along Osgood Road, south of Washington Boulevard, when she lost control, fell and hit her head on the ground, said Officer Alan Zambonin. Yu was not wearing a helmet, police said. She was taken to Regional Medical Center of San Jose for treatment and was pronounced dead on Saturday, Bosques said. Police said no vehicles were involved in the 6:45 a.m. incident.
