Source: A bicyclist, who was critically injured after being hit by a car more than two weeks ago in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood has died. George Craft, 55, was bicycling in the 7600 block of South King Drive around 11 a.m. on September 12th when he abruptly entered the intersection and was hit by a 2001 Ford Taurus, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Craft, of the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue, was initially taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:15 a.m. Saturday. The driver of the Taurus remained at the scene of the crash and was not charged or cited. The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit was handling the crash investigation.
