Source: A 68-year-old Arlington bicyclist has died after a Thursday evening traffic accident in the 6100 block of Merrill Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Gilda Moore, who lived on Lenczyk Drive, died in the hospital the day after the accident. Moore was crossing Merrill Road just before 7 p.m. when a vehicle turning off Searchwood Drive hit her after they failed to see each other until just before impact, the Sheriff’s Office said. The Sheriff’s Office did not release the driver’s name and said the investigation is continuing.
