Source: Louisiana State Police say they've arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a five-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a car Tuesday night. Troopers say the boy, Jason Bauer, Jr, was trying to cross Jefferson Highway on his bicycle at about 8:20 in the evening. They say the boy's uncle was walking along side of him. Troopers say the pair made it half way across the road when the boy was hit by a car. They say the boy was thrown from the impact and his bicycle became lodged underneath the car. They say the boy's uncle also sustained minor injuries when he tried to reach and save the boy. Troopers say the car left the scene, but witnesses helped them locate it. They say 22-year-old Steshondia Stackhouse was driving the car.
