Source: A 27-year-old man was killed Monday night when an SUV hit him while he was riding a bicycle in the 4900 block of Perkins Road, according to a Baton Rouge Police Department news release. Jason Michael Stablier, 4268 Woodside Drive, died at the scene of the 10:30 p.m. crash, according to the release. Stablier was not wearing a helmet. Stablier entered Perkins Road from Congress Boulevard and was heading westbound when he was hit by a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 29-year-old Jason James Sanders, 8917 Key St., the release says. Sanders was not injured. Alcohol is not going to be a factor in the crash, according to the release. The crash is still under investigation.
