HOLLYWOOD — Police are investigating a fatal collision between a bicyclist and a car that happened over the weekend. Jeffrey Lee Howard, 52, of Hollywood was killed Sunday at 7:38 a.m. at the intersection of Taft Street and North 66th Avenue, police said. Howard was riding a bicycle northbound on 66th Avenue when the driver of a Volvo was traveling west on Taft Street, Hollywood Police Lt. Nicole Coffin said. Howard was pronounced dead at the scene. The Volvo's driver remained at the crash site and was "completely cooperative," Coffin said. No charges have been filed in the case that officials said is still under investigation.
