Source: A Toledo man was fatally injured when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car in West Toledo Monday, authorities said. Joseph Davis, 43, of East Benwick Road, was taken to Mercy St. Anne Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Monday evening., according to the Lucas County Coroner's Office. Mr. Davis was crossing West Alexis Road southbound from Livingston Drive about 8:44 p.m. when he was struck by a car driven by Jesus Garcia, 40, of West Poinsetta Avenue, Toledo police said. No one in the vehicle was hurt, officers said. The incident remained under investigation.
