Love, Aunt Kris
Kellsey, you were such a beautiful person who lived your life to the fullest. You have become my inspiration to do so. I love you girl. This was not supposed to happen. I’m so sorry Zack. Rest in Peace.
Kellsey was an experienced competive bike rider out for a ride before leaving to enjoy an extended family weekend with her wonderful husband Joe’s family. She was riding on a long straight road, in the bike path, when an 87 year old driver let her car drift and then hit Kellsey from behind going full speed. How often have we heard “Oh, my parents shouldn’t still be driving but they just won’t let me take their keys away.” Well, perhaps this horrible tragedy will make some people rethink that statement. This wonderful girl would still have so much to share with this world had someone thought to take this women’s keys away. What an absolutely senseless tragedy that has caused devastation to so many. Kellsey was one of those people that truly touched the lives of all she met.
