As the widow of Larry Sage, I would like to note that Larry hit a pothole hidden in the shadows on his way down Donner Pass Road (Old Highway 40) near Donner Lake. He died doing what he loved doing the most and he suffered no pain. Please visit his memorial page at http://truckeetrails.org.
One correction…he was 57 years old.
