The day Meredith died was a beautiful one for cycling. It was in the mid to high 70s with a clear blue sky. I too rode the day in a different part of Wayne County, about a dozen miles away. It could happen to any of us, which is the scary part. One moment you are on a great ride and the next life as we know it is over. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family!! My own family is going through a lot , my uncle Shawn Dallas died recently due to complications with his crohn’s disease and today at the cemetery where he is buried I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful girl he is right next to. My thoughts and prayers go to everyone in the family!!!!
My niece was killed on a bright and beautiful Saturday, she was on the right side of the road following the rules. The day was clear. The woman who struck and killed her was trying to find a sandal that had fallen off her foot, she didn’t know what she had hit. Should this woman be charged with careless or reckless driving? Certainly so. we all feel that while she should NOT do jail time she certainly should be accountable for her actions, her license should be revoked, she should do some kind of community service, and start the whole driving process over,(permit, classes, 3 hour course etc.)
While this person has to live with this the rest of her life, so does
Merediths family….....
