Source: A motorist struck and killed a man on a bicycle Tuesday in north Houston. The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Jensen Drive near Quitman. Reports indicate that the female driver told authorities that there was nothing she could do to avoid hitting the cyclist. The driver told police that she was driving down the street when the cyclist came out right in front of the car. The motorist reportedly swerved to miss him and he just kept going. The motorist then told police that she and the cyclist ended up hitting each other. There was no word on whether charges would be filed in the case released at the time of this report.
