Source: Police are looking for the hit and driver who killed bicyclist on West Oakland Park Boulevard. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the male bicyclist, whose identity remains unknown, was struck and killed in the area of 1500 West Oakland Park, Wednesday at around 4 p.m. As of 6:30 p.m., police were still on scene and had one lane of traffic open to allow cars to trickle through. Earlier the road had been completely closed. The bicyclist died from the impact. Christine Dietz, a former nurse, was driving through the accident scene and tried to give the man CPR, but it was too late. "I was driving along going west on Oakland Park Boulevard," she said, "and I saw something in the road to see if I could help, identified myself as a nurse, went over, checked the gentleman's carotid pulse, but my hand on his chest.
