A bicyclist was killed early today after he swerved in front of a moving car in central West Sacramento, police said. The man, 51, was cycling eastward near 2000 West Capitol Avenue around 7 a.m. in the driving rain when he swerved to miss a large puddle and was hit. The car was also moving east. Its driver was not hurt. The identity of the bicyclist was not released pending notification of family members.
