Source: Port Arthur police officers and the Department of Public Safety are investigating a fatal accident involving a bicycle and a car. The accident was reported just after 2 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Main Avenue and Gulfway Drive. Officials on the scene have identified the victim as On Lam, 71. Lam died at the scene. A news release issued by the Port Arthur Police Department says the car was heading west on Gulfway Drive when it struck a bicycle crossing lanes of traffic. The people inside the car received only minor injuries.
