Source: The operator of a bicycle, who was struck Monday evening on SR 522 in Wheelersburg, has died from injuries he received. The bicyclist has been identified as 22 year old Shawn R. Hamilton, residence unknown. Troopers from the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are currently attempting to locate the driver of the fleeing vehicle. From debris left at the scene, the fleeing vehicle is a 2002-2007 Buick Rendevos, unknown color. The vehicle will have damage to right headlight, right fender and right mirror. If anyone has information about the crash, they are encouraged to contact the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 740-354-2888.
