I did not see the accident, but saw Steven’s body on the side of the road, his bicycle in pieces. I was emotional because, last year I was struck by a car while cycling - that could have been my fate.
I had a feeling Steven was no longer with us, my passenger, a friend visiting for July 4th, was in tears. I could not stop my car because the police was on route, and we were on the south bound (headed to celebrate Downtown). Needless to say the mood for the day changed. All that i could do was to pray for his spirit, for his family & the person that hit him (because this person has taken a human life).
To the family & his friends my prayers are with you.
